Perfect karpatka




Ingredients:
Cake:
1/2 cup (125 grams) of margarine
1 cup od flour
5 eggs
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
Filling :
2 cup (1/2 liter) of milk
1 cup of sugar
1 tablespoon of potato flour
2 tablespoons of flour
1 cup (250 grams) of maragrine
2 tablespoons of alcohol

Directions:

Pour 1 cup of water to pan. Add margarine. Boil. Then add flour, mix and boil few minutes. Cool it down. Then add eggs, baking powder and mix. Divide mixture on 2 part. Bake separated.

Spread cake on greased form of dimensions 10x14 inches (25x36 centimeters). Bake in very hot oven. After 10 minutes open the door of oven and cut the temperature (to 390 degree F - 200 degree C). After 3 minutes close the door of oven. Bake as long as cake will be gold.

Boil 1 1/2 cups of milk. In 1/2 cup of cold milk melt sugar and potato flour and flour. Then pour to boiled milk and boil custard. Cool it down. Mill margarine and add the custard step by step. At the end add alcohol.

Put this cake between two cold cakes. Sprinkle powdered sugar.

You shouldn't boil or fry it too long because it is likely to loose its specific flavour. Remember, if you will overcook it, it may becomes bitter.

Garlic should be added into dishes at the end of its preparation.
